Run 1145, 19 April 2006 Hare: Screwtop Venue: Corkman Hotel, cnr Leicester & Pelham Sts, Carlton
Screwtop, virgin hare, sets her virgin run from the virgin pub. Snowbitch also set her virgin run from this pub.
It was Saint George’s Day and Pointy was our only British runner to take the charge. The run was quick and short and had few fainted arrows. But Lotsa Fun found it too quick for her pace. But she still refused Mothball’s offer to take a shortcut in the Royal Parade. The run started from Carlton, crossed Lygon Street, had a short visit to the Melbourne Museum and Exhibition Building before heading toward the top of Melbourne Uni and Royal Parade. Pointy gave it 33.3/45.
Helen came back from her cruise adventure in Vanuatu and Kokup and Punch came back from the bush to run. Colours, Dana, Tar-Jay also ran with us after a long absence.
Tar-Jay (10), Tiger Moth (69), NickelB (181), Sooty (111) had significant runs and there were lots of discussion at dinner to get a proper design for GG’s 666’s run. Klingon also mentioned that hashers that have more than 200 runs will get a special T-shirt too. Sooty was the smart hasher of the week when he scored 7 to get into the top of footy tipping competition.
Helen charged GG for running over a pedestrian and Mothball was acting Sergeant in Arms for the night. E&B and Whippet appeared to have half a run discussion about buying a rugby ticket which Cooch wasn’t aware of and Helen answered her for after the run. Shah, like Lotsa Fun, didn’t accept Mothball’s offer to take a shortcut and NickelB took the low profile charge to finish the night.
