Run 1365, 17 Feb 2010 Hare: Cheesecake, Egg & Bacon Pie, Punch, and Peanuts Venue: Shelter shed at Port Melbourne Beach
This was another run set by committee, but at least this run managed to keep the distance well below a SOAS run. The pack of about thirty runners set off in blustery conditions and within sight of some rather nice young lady life-savers in Lycra swimwear.
The trial wound is way through Westgate Park, onto Lorimer Street and then went on a big loop around the industrial area of Port Melbourne. Where was Peanuts?
Run Score 60/87 according to Crackup
Food Score: 28.2/30. Excellent quiches supplied by you know who.
Significant Runs – Tripod for being the 40th financial member Crackup 21 runs
Charges: Cockup and Punch – for threatening to go to Adelaide Lots of Fun/Nickleby – For turning up late (you can’t trust BMW cars) Prince and Whack – for running girly on-backs going nowhere Bovine – for coming just for the down-downs The New Zealanders – for having short shafts on their bottles. I could not help but notice that Point Post did not come up for this charge. This seems to suggest hat he is only a fair-weather New Zealander and his is finally showing his true colours as a born and bred Englishman. Etc Etc
