Run 1074, 12 Jan 2005 Hare: Nephertits & Punch Venue: Gasworks Park, Richardson St., Albert Park
Excellent Run! Walkers and runners divided at the station pier after a long non stop run along side the Port Melbourne beach. Then we turned in-land and ultimately stoped at Nefertits’s garage for drink stop. Gin and lemonade were quite tasty in sunny afternoon. Tickler, Tangels, Toto, Sooti, Pointi and Twisted Sister were back from holiday. Twisted Sister (11), Nefertits (22) and Kokup (55) had significant runs.
Charges: Punch used LH instead of LS in her check points. Chiko, pissed on the esky. Lethal volunteered to piss on esky. Klingon asked a stupid question and Bartebeach answered “what do you expect from a runner?” Kiwis had a brilliant performance in tsunami cricket match. Hence, Sooti and Deeper were thanked. Cooch had a sore leg and was late. Klingon taught Chiko the party trick. Nefertits used home-made pees for food and Punch had a few checks in the run. Finally, Lethal and Tangles were gossiping behind Miss Piggy in the run and were charged respectively.
Announcements: 19 FEBRUARY (Saturday) 10th Annual Red Dress Run. Special extravaganza for 10th anniversary, music, dancing til late. Oxford Scholar Hotel, Cnr Swanston and A’Beckett Sts, CBD. 4pm for 5 pm Run. Dinner, costume awards ,music and party. PLAN IS TO RAISE FUNDS FOR RED CROSS, TSUNAMI RELIEF FUND.
