Run 1327, 24 June 2009 Hare: Prince & Bovine Breeder Venue: Emerald Hill Hotel, 157 Clarendon St. South Melbourne
Despite all the notices giving the venue as The Emerald Hill Hotel at 157 Clarendon Street about 70 runners turned up at the right place for the AGM. With visitors from overseas and interstate.
Anounced as the Hash with 2 sergeants, 2 hares and 2 drink stops – more on this later.
The run went thru South Melbourne, down to St. Vincent Gardens around the streets of Albert Park and down to the beach. Along to the Kerferd Road Pier, where the drink stop was at the end, and you had to go fishing for the beer (on the end of fishing line) – and not enough for everyone. Back through Middle Park and to the Albert Park Lake for the second drink stop – which wasn’t. Then On Home. Usual AGM type carry on. Visiting GMs. GG, Pussy, Seamen Feeder, Nicklby & Booky. Former Lakeside GMs. BarterBitch, Udder, CheeseCake, Klingon, DeepThroat, Prince & E&B. Old Committee. Awards. Shirts for special runs 100 – Rolf 200 – Sooty 300 – LotsaFun – Nicklby – Prince 400 – Mothball 500 – Klingon 800 – GG Certificates for:- FRBs – OldBoar and Prince Wettest run – GG – by the Yarra Longest run – Sooty Fashion – Nicklby – those shorts. Self Sacrifice – LubeOil – head butting the footpath. Predictable run – PointPost – Pizza and fruit cake. Venue – CheeseCake – Ladies Toilet. Longest on-back – E&B – to the end of Webb Dock. Best Food – LotsaFun Food (other) – E&B – haggis. Best run – Cooch – bush run along river. Sergeant – UDDER Charges:- Stand in GMs – E&B and Klingon Apprentice GMs – GG and Nicklby – learning how to do it at other clubs. Visitor from D&E – Glamour – D&E had their own run that night. Visitor from The Hague – Tripod. Bovine Breeder – advertising on the hares t-shirts. CodPiece – the wrong address on the notice. DeepThroat – 100th birthday – or some number closer to it than most of us. And the new GM is FLEM and there are a lot of people on the committee.
