Run 1391, 18 Aug 2010 Hare: Cut Loose & Astro Venue: 8 Little Finlay Street, Albert Park.

A miracle happened on Wednesday night. The weather was cold, but for the first time since the GM – Big Bang took over, there was not a drop of rain in sight and I can prove it as Cyclone Tracy turned up in her hash attire. Unfortunately the Religious Advisor Klingon has obviously lost faith in his own abilities and decided to abstain from the hash. 25 people turned up for a run that was set by Astro under the watchful eye of Cut Loose from a very long distance. Cut Loose remained home to prepare the feast and what will be possibly the best meal of the year.

The run started close to seven and meandered along Richardson Street through Albert Park and Middle Park. Astro implemented a run method as practiced in other hashes overseas where there were false trails and check backs from the checks. This meant that we had to run further whilst we looked for the run. This was good as it kept the pack together but we all got cold as no-one really wanted to look for the trail. (BTW Astro have you done the run report for Bark On’s Memorial Run?).

Eventually we came to a decision point where we either went left to Albert Park Lake (The Heartland – Sigh), or we turned right to the beach and surfed some gnarly waves dude. Cut Loose decided that the park and lake option was more prudent and we turned left. After this bit, the run became a bit of a blur as Big Bang and I had had enough and decided to shortcut back to Cut Loose’s Harem.

The Feast from Cut Loose was exceptional. Not only was it excellent, there was also plenty of food left over. There was a choice of three meals with a healthy stir fry of vegetables, a green curry chicken, and also a massive pot full of meatballs in a rich tomato sauce over a bed of rice. With a beer, the meal was memorable.

Charges were made and there were lots of them. • The hares of Cut Loose and Astro were charged. The food was given 10/10 and the run was rated at only 5. • We had visitors of a very happy Marta, her husband James, Michelle and Grant. Grant has a catering company and Michelle is his lovely friend and she comes from Geelong. We also had returnees of Chrome Dome and her slave Just Martin, Tricky Dicky, Colours and Cyclone Tracy. • Jokes were proffered including the lesbian pap smear and the fostering of a Muslim child. • Whack was charged for being the athlete wearing thin shorts, thin top and “not being in the mood for it”. • Cut Loose and E&B for something about being on the lake is so boring. • Cooch for arriving late and whinging non-stop about incorrectly marked arrows etc. • Lubang for sticky fingers on his number 1. • Whack without his wife around was noticeably more adventurous and was charged with Colours over a discussion involving the “Prime Position”. • Sooty was whinging on the run. (the day you stop whinging Sooty, we will call the ambulance.) • Big Bang for only just taking over the Hash and then deciding to leave poor Bovine Breeder to fend for himself. Or was it more for abandoning the hash for her 4 months absence? • Tripod got charged for incorrectly installing his car radio on his “hotted up fully sick mate Mustang”. • E&B for break Lubang Oz’s heart by accepting a ride from NickelB.
