Run 1037, 5 May 2004 Hare: SBD Venue: Georgios Pizza, 476 Glenhuntly Road, Elsternwick
Its always amazing what you can do with a bottle of Viagara . Sorry, wrong story. It was a fine and cool evening when a tight and definitely hardcore bunch from the Lakeside Hashers gathered for Run 1037 set by SBD at Georgios at Elsternwick. We ran all over Elsternwick and Caulfield South. Unfortunately SBD appears to have developed the annoying habit of inserting lots of checks and on-backs. May I suggest a special counselling session involving baseball bats and a small marsupial?
As is a typical hash experience, we enjoyed the dichotomy of life from the womb to the tomb. We chanced upon the Brighton Cemetery with a C marked possibly for a check, but perhaps more likely a designation that we were at the cemetery. At the other end of the street was the location of where the hare, SBD, was born not so long ago in Bethlehem. Does this mean that SBD could possibly be the Second Coming??? On second thought, nup. We all know that SBD is a reincarnation of Charles Manson.
The dinner at the restaurant was a sumptuous fare. It was obviously a going to be a great feed as even Boomerang and Prince stayed back to partake in the culinary delights. Notable reactions included Punch commenting that this was the best vegetarian pizza that she had ever eaten (as if a pizza could possibly be any good without meat!). Rolf Harris was particularly amusing to watch as she enjoyed her feast of white bait and complimented her pleasure with a cigarette. Dessert was a mystery creation by Rolf and the location of it was allegedly in Boomerangs refrigerator. Good choice SBD.
The run was rated at 71 / 72. Upon countback we realised the error and made a minor adjustment and reduced it to 7.1 / 720,000,000.
Charges-
As a continuation of the tribute to the Childrens Television Workshop (Sesame Street to you common folk), this run was dedicated to the number seven. Boomerang 570, Lethal 274, Mothball 187, Gerbils 178, Whippet 170, and Lots of Fun on 97.
Kokup decided to charge some others for some serious infractions.
Three Wise Men of Mothball, Janus and Udder were charged for holding a meeting on the run. Really Kokup. Mothball, Janus and Udder, three wise men????????
Prince and the mighty Bovine for failing to act as FRBs by walking on the run. Kokup, you need to learn to recognise that we were only saving ourselves for the beers after the run. Experienced hashers know that you should never peak too early.
Nickel B was charged for trying to wake the dead by calling On-on at the cemetery.
Rolf Harris for attempting to impersonate an FRB and then making a piss poor call.
Boomerang for a moving miracle. (Apparently he moved house in one day and had guests over that night for dinner). Incidentally, one of the guests asked me to pass on his thanks and that he enjoyed sitting on a cardboard box eating a takeaway pizza.
Prince for becoming engaged. HRH honoured us with a response I have found my princess
The most Harey one SBD was charged for not taking us around to The Daily Planet.
Udder was charged for perving at some shaggers in a car.
Too Dumb to Die for relocating to the Imperial Headquarters.
Mothball for proving that he obviously knows little about football by picking 8 winners.
Kokup for rushing home every Friday night to the open and loving arms of his wife of 31 years, the indomitable Punch, only to run past her to the computer mumbling Footy tipping, footy tipping
Kokup and Punch were charged for being married 31 years. Yes, yes, yes. The usual stories of You get less for murder mate were offered but were duly ignored.
Rolf Harris for allegedly providing the dessert with the serving back at Boomers place.
Boomerang was charged for anticipation of his special dessert.
Udder and Gerbils for finally deciding to sign the book. (How can you possibly know how many runs you are on then?)
Astro for wanting to rush home to watch the Lesbian Show.
Klingon for being in possession of a low profile.
Stuckon and Alice for reasons that I cannot recall.
