Run 1048, 21 July 2004 Hare: Klingon for Addon Venue: Newmarket Hotel, 34 Inkerman St, St.Kilda

Subs of $50 are now due, payable to HashCash Underfelt!

I go to Sydney – finally it rains there; I come back to Melbourne – perfect weather for hashing – fine, clear, no wind – all with no RA present! Must go away more often…

The Hare had chosen a fine St Kilda establishment – a seemingly ordinary hostelry which actually housed a Hungarian restaurant serving enormous schnitzels and other delicacies such as liver and onions. The delicacies didn’t quite include our efficient but dogmatic waitress who wouldn’t take our orders til we were seated (so unlike Hash). So with the assistance of a booming Boomer we duly obeyed Miss Goulash 1990 so that we could get the run underway.

A goodly crowd of hashers (with over representation by MH3 bent on a take over of LHS3) took to the streets. Kokup duly reported that Klingon had used every trick in the hashing repertoire which kept the pack together but drove the FRBs crazy – and by the latter stages the pack was somewhat gun-shy of running the On Backs – ‘no way am I running down St Kilda Pier’. This confused Prince so much that he promptly gave up checking – much to the chagrin of the back of the pack who (forgetting where Klingon really did live) headed for home and missed the drink stop of very flavoursome gluhwein (so I’m told).

Anyway, back at the pub Stuckon had done a sterling job of calculating our 15% meal discount and eventually the GM called the pack (and everyone else in the place!) to order. Kokup gave the run analysis and since the drink stop was judged to be a 10/10 the Hare was reimbursed $10.00 for his efforts, no doubt superbly mixed by Addon (yes, LHS3 giving away money!). As there were no visitors Brenda and Deep Throat were given visitor status and were given down downs. The GM then reeled off a string of charges:

Miss Piggy – who knew where the DrinkStop was but didn’t make it – off window shopping Rolf Harris – for standing on the corner of Gray Street looking unemployed Addon – since she was still in the pub after 8pm when ‘no children allowed’ Father – for wondering why he wasn’t receiving hash emails – then realised he had no phone line to connect to Cheesecake – for being on 199 runs

Charges from the floor: GG – for corrupting Addon on her first run (unrepeatable of course) Prince (in absentia) for asking ‘what does OB mean?’ (and he was Checking Chicken!!) the GM – for being a GM when we’re not supposed to have one – which was a prompt rebound to Underfelt Underfelt again – for refusing to take money (Lotsafun needs to give the man training) and Bovine – for something unmemorable

GG then told an old joke and those left standing were invited to drink the leftover beer.

On On
