Run 1089, 20 April 2005 Hares: D&E 1600th Run Venue: Kevin Bartlett Sporting & Recreation Complex, Yarra Boulevard, Richmond.
Lakeside hashers entered as late as 6:45 pm to the joint run with Doncaster and Eltham Hash but the run didn’t start till 7:30. Boomerang returned to the run after four days bike ride in Gippsland. Also Miss Piggy and Father returned from their holiday in Ireland, London and Kuala Lumpur.
Run was set from Richmond Junior footy club with all kids photos and premiership flags on the wall. Though run started late it was a competitive run with many masculine energetic runners finding track in few seconds. It started in the bush, over the bridge, pass the river, under the train track, between South Yarra avenues, back and forward and ended by passing the same bridge to home. There were beyond 70 runners which made the catering difficult. Hamburgers and sausage were served for dinner which few runners believed that weren’t quality food.
While we were waiting for the circle, a D&E member was hanging around and was writing few notes (who to charge and what for). I saw GG on the top of the list but I couldn’t find out why he has been nominated for a down-down. Luckily we didn’t sign D&E hash book. It had nude ladies photos in every other page which proved the masculine nature of D&E club.
Charges: Boomerang was asked to give a run report from Lakeside point of view.
