Run 1108, 24 Aug 2005 Hare: The Shah Venue: Prince Patrick Hotel, Victoria Pde, Collingwood .
This run was mine. I set it in East Melbourne, where I live. It went through most of avenues in the area I discovered while setting the run. It finally went to around MCG, toward Olympic Park and back to Fitzroy Gardens. The run passed Alice birth place and scored 9/11 which was considered a good score for a virgin hare. Couch (199) and GG (627) had significant runs and there were discussions for appropriate names for Karen and Ian. Though nominations are still open, “Just done it” and “Just do it” were suggested for Karen and Ian respectively. Nickle B and Lotsa Fun got glass mugs for their 150 runs awards. It appeared that Shah has used “HHH” for hash hold instead of “HH”. Gerbils, Mr Bin, Pregnant Pause and Point Post returned to the run after long absence and Mummies Boy pointed lascivious Brazilian style of Prince’ chine shave. During the run, runners couldn’t find their way toward Treasury Gardens and came cross Fitzroy Gardens from one check point to another. Cooch ultimately found the way by dinosaurian announcement in the Jurassic Park. Shah paid some extra to get his dinner first and Janus ordered Shank which wasn’t in the menu. Cooch was praised for organizing the bike ride on the weekend which killed GG. Whippet was asked not sell nuclear or chemical weapons and Point Post and Gum Boot got low profile charge.
