Run 1149, 17 May 2006 Hare: The Shah Venue: Renown Tavern, Corner of Gertrude and Napier Streets, 148 Gertrude St Fitzroy

What can I say about my run. The run was set in Fitzroy with a view to the government buildings in the city, MCG and Fitzroy Gardens. Setting the run had few hassles when cops thought you are a protester marking the footpaths of the government buildings.

The Western Suburbs also ran from Fitzroy and crossed the run few times and tampered some of the checks and On-Backs. I was in a middle of friendly chat with Tangles, when Udder arrived followed by Tar-Je. I wonder if the run was really short or my checks were not good enough. It appeared that the arrows across Victoria Parade were tarred by the Vic Roads road works and the pack crossed the busy street though I reminded them to stick to the pedestrian lights. Mothball surprisingly didn’t like the bridge across to the MCG which plays aboriginal music and NickelB gave the run 29 from 49.

Udder, Pregnant Pose, Tiger Moth, Nashy from London Hash, and Mommies Boy returned to the run and Screwtop (40), Shah (80), Mommies Boy (270), Prince (110), Tar-Je (13) and Chris (7) had significant runs. Mommies Boy and Udder were joint Sergeant in Arms and nominated Prince for next GM. They also pointed Prince’s new beer diet to keep himself fit. The other nominees for next GM were Pointy and joint GM of Mothball & Tiger Moth.

Mommies Boy who was just returned from Spain nominated GG to collect money for Carlton and Pregnant Pose got a rebound from Shah when she recalled Shah setting the run during the Western Suburbs run on Tuesday.  Whippet brough Tiger Moth a Rio Hash T-shirt and Pointy, Udder and Whippet who were wearing the Lakeside significant run T-shirts were charged at the end.
