Run 1173, 18 October 2006 Hare: Klingon Venue: Wing Loong Restaurant, 11-13 Heffernan Lane, City

Klingon brought forward his mountain climbing run from Chinese new years. He set the run from Wing Loong which has a private room upstairs, at the top of the mountain. The topic of the night was the fact that few of our regular hashers are going Interhash and we will be left with few. Klingon who recently visits CBD more often to attend courts and consult with his lawyer, talked about the futures of his run before sending us to QV complex which as usual we lost the track.

Pointy came to rescue and found the rest of the arrows at Swanston Street which took us in the dark avenues of the city. We visited the Flagstaff land mark where we learnt a glimpse of history. Pointy and Mothball talked about  the history of Melbourne Assessment Prison and the famous criminal currently spending time there while discussing ways that anybody can escape from it.  Klingon then took us to Telstra Dome where we witnessed a bin on fire. We managed to get away from the bin before three loud fire trucks came to put off the fire on the footbridge leading to the Dome.

After few on backs without witnessing any check, Whippet, Shah and Dangerous gave up and head home while Mothball shortcuted most of the run to visit the Crown. Pointy, Lotsa Fun, NickleB and Prince were only keen runners who followed the run to Crown and back home. Meanwhile, Dangerous and Whippet checked Sherlock Holmes pub before returning home. This was the first time that Dangerous set her own drink stop. But Whippet who is Lakeside’s front runners wasn’t expected to short cut home. We got few dishes of veggies, fish and lamb which didn’t fill everybody’s appetite. Sunny, our Chinese waiter from last New Year Chinese Run, couldn’t avoid the winging runners for the quantity of the food and brought us some extra hot roles.

GG was lucky to find his Crowny beer while Klingon had plenty of time to search for a Cascade.  It appeared that Spread Zizi waved to Klingon while setting the run which Boomerang was only one to remember her.

We had a new acting hash flash, Sunny, our Chinese waiter who has got his accounting degree and will depart to China shortly. Sooty and Tangles gave a full history of CBD buildings to Tigermoth which confused her enough to charge NickleB 17$ instead of $33 for himself and Lotsa Fun.

The run took us to Klingon expensive journey between the courts and his lawyers which appeared to be straight forward for him, as he didn’t need to make any decision and didn’t set any check in whole run. Lotsa Fun didn’t like the check-less run but Sooty gave the run 42.99 from 43.  Nickle B, acting sergeant in arms, rewarded Sunny for his graduating and good service but couldn’t forget that from 15 pack of runners who started the run only 4 finished it.

Walkers pack in other hand witnessed GG’s exercise to crap in every toilet. Luckily we had plenty of toilets in the city and we didn’t need Kenny to install few portable ones to satisfy GG’s run requirements. Finally Lethal got a low profile and Sooty charged Klingon for taking him to the top of the building twice.
