Run 1204, 25 April 2007 Hare: Egg and Bacon Pie Venue: Swan St Bridge, South Yarra
Inline with Prince’s report of 1204a, here is the evening version of the ANZAC day run, 1204b.
Instead of 9 runners in the morning, 7 including Shah, NickleB, Lotsa Fun, Pointy, GG, Codpiece and E&B gathered at Swan Street Bridge. It was a beautiful night with lots of crowd in the streets either celebrating Collingwood win in the Lexus centre or watching Circus De Soley in Melbourne Park. 2 walkers and two runners started the run and after 2 checks found themselves in Alexander Gardens. They followed the run till they bumped to E&B who was encouraging them not to follow the trial and follow her direction. After a loop of the botanical gardens and the shrine the pack came back to the Yarra to have yummy sandwiches. GG who ran his second run of the day, excited by the Collingwood win and upset for not picking them to win, had a Pointy affair with Codpiece during the run. GG also met Chris, Lakeside ex-runner & motorcycle rider and true supporter of Collingwood in Lexus centre who could manage to forget his motorcycle injuries to go to MCG and support Magpies. Cheesecake was absent in both runs of the day and a charge was reserved for her in advance. GG and Pointy followed a possum before having a beer at the Lexus centre.
