Run 1214, 4 July 2007 Hare: The Shah Venue: Flying Duck Hotel, Corner of Princes and Bendigo Street, Prahran

At next year’s AGM we should have an award for the hare who covers the most post-codes because The Shah will win. From Prahran to Sth Yarra, Hawksburn, Toorak, Windsor, skirting Richmond and almost to 3004. But we never left Melway Map 58, always staying in the suburbs of niceness where no semi-trailer or mattress ever gets left on a nature strip.

The trait of a successful hare is to really annoy the pack and The Shah was terrific. His trick was to set the run on his bike so he could cover squillions more acreage. We sauntered down up-market Kensington Rd Sth Yarra, home to The Shah. Melbourne Water are paying him too much. We got to know Kensington Rd well because NickleB couldn’t/wouldn’t find trail but when he did, we then congregated in Como Park like forever. On over to the Yarra, then up through the back streets near Chapel St where they sell Vespas, Ferraris and that really minimalist, modular furniture. We were way out of our demographic.

At about 8.30 pm. the pack turned revolting and headed home, Udder in the lead. There was progressive revolting until only Cooch, 2 Botts, LotsaFun and NickleB followed trail and went on to the Alfred Hospital, but by then they probably needed to.

If you think you’re a serious athlete, here’s a reality check – Tangles kept up with the pack the whole night.

Charges:

? Lots of charges for the hare with Udder awarding him -3 out of a possible 164. ? Cooch for being on 285 runs and feeding Mummies Boy’s paranoia and insecurity cos MB wants to be first to 300 runs. ? The Shah for needing a motorcross motorbike to set his runs cos he’s not covering enough territory yet. ? Udder for cross dressing. ? NickleB for misleading the pack. ? Plunger for misleading the pack by confusing on-home with The Shah’s home. ? Add-on for being the first to write her name in the book. ? The Shah for setting a run from a gay pub. Do pubs have those sort of feelings? ? Mothball for describing the run set from a gay pub as a ball-breaker. ? Udder for being in the ladies lounge. ? Udder for wearing new shoes, old shoes to Gargoyle. ? Mummies Boy for leaving the run to go shopping at Borders. ? Jason for being Maitre d. ? Mummies Boy for diverting the pack. ? E&B for talking when GG is talking. ? The Shah forcing GG to park 2 klms away from home. ? GG and Prince for the AGE report “After revelations that their members were out with Alan Didak, the Hells Angels have released a statement claiming that they had no knowledge that their members were mixing with Collingwood players and they will be launching a full investigation to find and suspend the members concerned, said an outraged spokesangel. It’s simply unacceptable and stupid behaviour for our members to be associating with these types of people.” ? Cooch for incorrect checking.
