Run 1286, 01 October 2008 Hare: Sooty Venue: The Colonial Hotel, cnr of Lonsdale and King Streets, Melbourne

The last torch run for the year and a pleasant 21C. A city run, using lots of lanes, past fine wining and dining and a chance to do some window shopping. A problem was the street sweeper had swept up most of the arrows. Variously described as “what a shocker” to “I like it”.   Special runs:-     Flem 66     Grewsome & Wee Lassie – 19 + 19 =38?     Klingon – 500 Returnees:-     Linda, Plunger, Debbie, Stephanie, Bovine Breeder, Two Bottoms and Old Boar. Charges:-     Old Boar – introducing himself as Jeff to Bovine.     Two Bottoms – fashion – tucking shirt into trou.     Flem – starting run at 6pm.     E & B – doing business on the run     Sooty – talking in the circle     Mothball – whining – had grand final ticket from the company.     Plunger thought an arrow pointing both ways was a bit strange, so charged Nicklby who thought this was OK.    Grewsome – for getting names wrong.     Stephanie – an MA in Nuclear Physics – for switching on the giant collider and breaking it.                      Had they found the Hicks boson particle? – no.                      Where is it? – no idea.                      The collider is just a bloack hole sucking in all the money.     E & B, Two Bottoms and Cheesecake – mumble pants.     GG and Point Post for having more runs than Klingon.     Plunger – wankerphone in the circle.     ItWasntMe and colours – low profile     The barmaid – Laura – for providing double meals! And finally a naming:-     Linda –   a phd in something?                 a former Police trainer?                 but now a cyclone specialist at the  Bureau of Meteorology     So CYCLONE it is.
