Run 1647 Report

Date: 28-Jan-2015

Hares: Two Bottoms and Libido

Location: 18 Acacia Street, Box Hill

“Two weddings and a funeral”

Visitors: Kevin (son of Flora) and Viv

Returnees: GM Cut Loose, Astro, Hooray CO and Flora

Run report: by Klingon. Everyone got lost. We went to Wattle Park, which was very nice, across Canterbury Road to where they have a lot of curly roads. An on-back flummoxed everyone for about ten minutes before locating the on-on. Next they went to Surrey Park and then on home.

Walkers’ report: by Barbie’s Box. The walkers did the same as the runners but slower. There were many distractions on this run; Blood Sucka’s dog pooped early on, Lotsa Fun commented on the enormous size of the poop and it was very smelly. Although Blood Sucker walked ahead she was upwind so it didn’t help much. Addon was upset about not enough people going to last week’s run so she had to eat the left over food for the next week and it still isn’t all gone! Then we got back.

Beautiful run. Score 1001/2000 by Klingon, 1999/2000 from Barbie’s Box who objected to Klingon’s scoring. Food was fantastic – special thanks to Libido.

Funeral: Cheesecake has been disposed of as acting GM on the return of Cut Loose from exile in Tasmania, where she had been cunningly sent to make way for a coup. She was rescued however and is now back to take her rightful place at the Hash.

Wedding: The second, but most important wedding for KlingOn and Flora was their Hash Wedding. Klingon and Flora tied the knot in a touching wedding ceremony accompanied by Deeper singing “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” who read the words off his iPad to much applause. Lotsa Fun and Nickleby conducted a solemn multicultural ceremony in Chinese and English. There was sparkling red for the wedding Down-Down followed by cake for all! Lotsa Fun sang a traditional wedding song to the tune of Jingle Bells joined by Klingon at times.

Hip Hip Hooray!

Flora was then named in a traditional Hash naming ceremony, and dubbed Spread On.

Back to reality. The Usurper Cheesecake having attempted to lose our beloved GM in Tasmania was foiled when Astro and Cut Loose returned. Down-down performed in the traditional fashion, lead by Two Bottoms.

Kokup was charged with having a nephew in the Australian soccer team which will play on Sunday.

Two Bottoms and Libido were charged for the freezing conditions on their verandah and Sarge was charged with stalking Blood Sucka. Barbie Box charged GM and was subsequently charged with charging the longest charge ever. Mother Trucker was also charged with something. Traditional Down-Down followed.

Deeper charged Punch with causing Kok Up’s hernia and Hooray C.O. led the Down Down, traditionally.
