Run 1694 | 11th November 2015 | Prickly Bush/Deeper @ Peter Scullin Reserve (BBQs), Beach Road, Mordialloc

Visitors

Derriere, Hot Rod, from Kalgoorlie.

Returnees

Colours, 3K9, Jaywalker, Mothball, Shoe Shopper.

HARES

Deeper & Prickly Bush.

The Run

Derriere enjoyed the run which followed Mordialloc Creek, passed through some sports grounds and across/around a lake and then into residential areas to the drink stop on the beach. The hare provided for the faster runners allowing them to stretch their legs, but also had plenty of checks and on backs to allow the slower runners to keep up and keep the pack together.

Derriere scored 90/94.

The Walk

Followed the run initially and then split at the Creek, passing through residential areas and along to a lovely drink stop at the beach. An ‘uninformed’ local told Mothball “It is supposed to be all about running, not talking.” while the Walkers were strolling along chatting.

3K9 scored 90/94 also.

Special Runs

Prickly Bush 125, Drag On 171 (taken by lookalike Klingon), Aristokat 30, Swamp Rat 60.

Charges

  • Klingon – Engineers revenge when he walked over a 3 Pin Arch Bridge tonight that did not move even 1cm.
  • Blood Sucka – walking the dog in a stroller.
  • Sweaty Box & Aristokat – used mobile phones to check the trail.
  • Deeper – Swamp Rat stopped to smell the roses, but he claimed none of theroses in Mordialloc have any fragrance.
  • Mothball – mean to dogs???
  • Klingon – taped poor Drag On’s leg wound with gaffer tape because she’d chewed off the sutures. Ouch.
  • Deeper – Prickly charged he should have included two really beaut boardwalks across the lake, instead of concrete paths around it. (Deeper replied ” The gate to the boardwalk was locked.” Prickly answered ” I pushed the gate and it opened.”) Oh well.
  • Cooch – recently retired. Congratulations, enjoy your free time.
  • Aristokat – recent arm ink
  • Swamp Rat – recently sold her veterinary practice.
  • Klingon – now wearing the very same shirt which he had previously tried to find the owner of that lost shirt, before the Run commenced.
  • Sweaty Box – wearing a windcheater printed with “Super Dry” on the front, contradicting her name.
