RUN 1759 REPORT – Mothball’s Birthday Run

RUN REPORT:-Setting off around the streets and through parkland we arrived at Forest Street, then up a lane which was an On Back. Trail was found ahead and this led to a steeper road and up an even steeper goat track. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to climb anymore, but then trail wound around the hill, up another track through bushland and then it was downhill on bitumen to the drink stop, so that was okay. And what a drinkstop – Home made Lemon,
Lime and Bitters with spiced Rum, carefully blended and chilled. Scored – 75/69 by Back Beard
WALK REPORT:- Walkers trail turned left at Forest Street while the runners went right. The hill became steeper, turning left up a steeper road with a panoramic view of the city. So far it was a pleasant walk with a cool breeze until we reached the scarp, and the hot scramble to the summit, before heading down through the streets again.

On return we were greeted with Indian themed nosh including a curried soup, followed by rice, a chick pea dish and curried chicken. When everyone had filled themselves, Tiger Moth brought out the Chocolate birthday cake to celebrate another year of the Moth. Just to top it off, Tiger Moth led Cut Loose and Codpiece in a Calypso dance for the birthday boy and then it was time for the circle.

Mothball -“fill it to the top line” and E&B ( Prickly stood in) Both gave Punch instructions regarding the pouring level of punch in the cups.
