Run 1810 | 19 November 2017 |Quick Lay & Shu Shu@Imperial Hotel, Chapel Street, South Yarra

HARE: Shu Shu & Quicklay

VENUE:  Imperial Hotel, South Yarra.

It was a balmy Spring evening as hashers gathered at the Imperial Hotel to see what Shu Shu and Quicklay had in store. A couple of visitors from New Moon H3, together with some returnees boosted the numbers a little as we packed into the back corner of the pub and some took advantage of the happy hour to 7:00pm.

The hare’s burst of shit was short (walkers across the road and runners that way) and there seemed to be some reluctance to show the marks used. It was soon obvious why – ordinary arrows were used to mark trail so the WSH3 run from Tuesday night did not have to be re-marked!  This is what happens when you let Engineer’s be hares with their continuing drive for efficiency.

Circle was held in the Red Room with a couple of volunteers filling in for the missing players, including Udder Idjit as Sergeant and Astro doling out the drinks.

RUN REPORT: By Let Me Look                Scored 790/810

To try and boost the hare’s confidence, a relative delivered the run report, but the first thing she said was ‘no runners finished the run’, followed by ‘not all the on backs were done’. In the hare’s defence, Swingers claimed he did complete the run.  The hare tried to trick the runners by laying trail in all sorts of cunning directions, but he may have tricked himself.  Trail went into some tennis courts, which turned out to be an on back.  Trail was very scenic and passed through nice hashing territory with beautiful homes, along the river, through 6 or 7 parks, over several bridges, into sporting venues and down cobblestone lanes before returning on home.

WALK REPORT:  By Creme Brulee                        Scored -4/810

Our visitor thought the walk was very well organised for a walk. However, something about it was horrible.  Not being a relative or subject to retribution, the walk was scored according to her assessment at the time.  It probably had something to do with having to check the checks and getting caught on ‘on backs’.
