Run 1022 Report

Lakeside Hash House Harriers The drinking club with a running problem

Run 1022, 28 January 2004 Hare: Punch Venue: Yarra Park BBQ, southside of Wellington Parade, Jolimont

Well, who’d a thought it?  All those nasty storm clouds gathering, tarp and umbrella over the BBQ put up just in case – and once again our faithful RA Klingon did a great job and not a drop of rain fell during the run or the on-after!

Punch took us on a merry run around the city, confusing some when we hit Stuckon’s last week trail, but for the most part the pack stayed together, thanks to a hash halt at Punch Lane.  Of course our two FRB’s Cooch and Whippett were correctly awarded a down down for NOT CALLING (shame, shame) and Astro as checking chicken for running at the back of the pack.  The run was nominated as the best run through private property and a score was given of 91/100.

Rigby did a great job on grub which was plenteous and tasty.  Janus did a good job and we didn’t run out of grog this week (or was it the weather and the promptness of the food?)

Visitors to our Australia Day run were – Rigby, Fiona, Franky from Luxemberg, XR8D, and Gumboot and Clitus returned for a second dose.

Special runs were awarded to Poison for 3 runs, Sooty for 44 runs & Boomer for 555 runs.

Those without Australian Passports were given a drink prior to being deported.  They included Sooty, Franky, Gumboot, Poison, Fiona, Rolf and Boomer.

Sooty was charged with placing a land claim on Lake Taupo, GG was charged for fondling Rolf, a  collection was made for XR8D for her backpack surgery, Alice was seen ‘Crying!!!!!”, Astro was charged with being with the same woman for 24 hours, Franky thought the run too long – thought it covered more territory than Luxemburg.  And as always there were some other charges which the volunteer scribe has forgotten.
