Run 1170, 27 Sept 2006 Hare: Prince Venue: Carringbush Hotel, Langridge St, Collingwood.

Was it a run or mountain hike!? I couldn’t figure out. Prince was lucky to set the run in the day light, because the narrow gravel road alongside Yarra was quite scary if you didn’t have a torch. Myself and few visitors found ourselves in the shacking Carringbush Hotel ready to start the challenge of climbing the Yarra embankments. We had the biggest crowd ever this year. Was it the courtesy of celebrating the finals or evidence of  Victoria being the home of footy. Who knows! There wasn’t any represent from Swans or Eagles between us but we had plenty of Collingwood and Tigers fans.

Run started in the Collingwood back yards and front runners, Stuart, Cooch and Shah were caught in the Prince’s well set On-backs who took their steam completely. Run took us to the Yarra then and we started our scary journey in dark bush which ended with a sharp hike where Lotsa Fun didn’t find it funny. With Mothaball’s guidance, Shah, Lotsa Fun, NickleB, Sarou eventually climbed the hill and ran through Victoria Street to prepare for the lap of honor around Victoria Park, home of Collingwood.

Lotsa Fun called the run dangerous and gave it 12 from 13. Chicken Head, Sarou and Andrew were our visitors and Dumb Bastard, Rolf and Group Sex returnees.

Acting GM, Mothball, double charged Cooch first for giving a makeup package to E&B for her birthday last week and for his call on the top of the hill while rest of the pack were struggling to climb the hill. Mothball also couldn’t forgive Tar-Je for pouring beer on Mothaball’s shoe and Tiger Moth’s backpack. GG in other hand, showed how much he cares for the non Victorian ground final not wearing his Magpies jersey. Prince lent his from his car.  GG (686), Shah (96) and Tigermoth (80) had significant runs while Klingon missed the opportunity to sing honoree song at the Victoria Park stadium. Mothball wasn’t good in his GM’s duty not telling visitors to bring their torch.

Chicken Head, our visitor from KL, appeared to buy a brand new running torch for Sarou but forgot to bring over in the night that torch was really needed.  E&B discovered the reason behind the Tar-Je funny behavior. He lost his glasses on E&B’s table. Lotsa Fun call of Prince! Prince! Was the evidence of her frustration on the hill while Quasimodo claimed she can risk injury despite she needed more training for her world championship Rogaing championship.  Then she started a lengthy discussion with Mothball on the history of the hash, water and beer after Dumb Bastard complained on serving water on circle. Tar-Je was the closest we could find to swans while there were plenty of Magpies, GG, Prince and Goliath. Stuart and NickleB took the charge after we found out that last week we had two birthday girls, Dangerous and E&B. Happy birthday girls! Rolf finally charged GG for leaving behind his biny in her car before Collingwood ended up on loosing track Despite water restriction, GG poured the water on his head and wasted it.
