Run 1226, 03 October 2007 Hare: Cooch Venue: BBQ by Jolimont Station in Yarra Park
It was a cold and lonely night with a deluge threatening. So we took off smartly from Jolimint BBQs in a zig zag direction – Cooch had us zigging and zagging for about 2 km – to avoid the rain drops maybe? We ran past all of Melb’s sporting icons – MCG, Lexuas centre, Olympic Park, Tennis centre, Swimming Centre, over and over the various pedestrian bridges across the Jolimont rail yards, including one that chants and around the coloured ferris wheel. It was all very scenic and much appreciated by a bunch of unfit, middle aged, out-of-breath, tired and emotional pretend athletes.
Flem was still carrying some chesty fluey phlegm so he’s packed 500 Sudafed packets for his Singapore trip. He’s also packed cooking equipment and amphetamine recipes so keep watching Border Security.
The walkers had a lovely time – according to Rolf, Tangles spent the whole walk talking about sex, his time spent talking about it in inverse proportion to his actually doing it.
We had dinner and circle across the road at the Star Knigdom Restaurant. Excellent food and plenty of it satisfying Hash Rule 27(3)(a)(iii) that there always be heaps of food.
Mummies Boy started the circle by discussing three dimensional spatial coordinates. I dunno what he’s talking about but I love the way he says it. The next cat I have, I’ll call it Three Dimensional Spatial Coordinates. What he was trying to say was that about 30 years ago he had a mishap in his EK Holden right outside the restaurant – his rear tyre escaped and took off up the road ahead of the moving EK, followed by the hubcap and then the bolts. Then the cops pulled him over for a roadworthy.

Charges *Mothball complaining for not being charged last week for his 333 run. *Cheesecake for being the perfect secretary/Miss Moneypenny/Chairperson. *E&B for not noticing that Cheesecake performs secretarial duties in a vertical position and therefore doesn’t use a chair. *Cooch for engineering a shocking night of bleak, miserable, windy weather. *Scrottweiler for breaking all the checks. *Tangles for alleging that Cheesecake is not a good swallower – how does he know? *Mummie’s Boy for getting Craven Moorehead’s name wrong. *GG for not getting lost – everyone is so keen to tell him where to go. *Pointy for low profile. *Sooty got advance commiserations for NZ losing the World Rugby title. Sooty said the charge was wrong because he’d be celebrating victory – or as he says because he’s from the land of the long white cloud and short stunted vowel sounds – vuctory. *Mummie’s charged someone for a spoonerism and said it came from the Rev Spooner who once gave a sermon saying the Lord is a shoving leopard. *Mummie’s for losing control of the circle. *Mummie’s and Scrotweiler (or Monster Scrotum as E&B called him) for diverting to the Royal Hotel on Punt Rd (headless body in topless bar sort of thing).
