Run 1243, 16 January 2008 Hares: Big Ears of D&E Venue: Bendigo Hotel, 125 Johnston Street, Collingwood
The idea was that D&E would make it up to us that we they did not come to out AGM. Did we care?
It was a different venue – not used before, according to Point Post. The run went over to the Yarra via C&UB. Not before a pseudo drink stop where all D&E runners could enter, because it was a gay pub, but Lakesiders were turned away on account of therir gender.
There was a long stretch up the left bank of the Yarra and back to the pub (most of the run) in which there were no checks or on-backs at all. So the walkers got back much later.
The food was OK – $10 pun specials.The circle was the usual rowdy !@#$%^ type of affair. Our returning GM Prince was welcomed back.
